Another outing for the Odds ‘Virtual Choir’

Rushmoor Male Voice Choir have increased their online activity during the current pandemic lock-downs. When it became obvious that it was going to be a long while before the choir could get together or perform in person they turned to technology. Their Zoom “social calls” have been supplemented by online rehearsals to try and get voices back into concert readiness in time for what it is hoped will be a real concert performance later in 2021.

The feedback to the choirs first “virtual performance” of Divine Brahma was so positive that the Odds Virtual Choir has recorded a second number. This time the choir has recorded a version of You Raise Me Up, originally made famous by Josh Groban and by Westlife.  Once again the performance was coordinated by Musical Director Steve Petch and edited into a single video by Joseph Kusionowicz and sound engineer Jamie Turnbull to produce the final performance recording.

Peter Viveash, Chairman of The Rushmoor ‘Odd Fellows’ Male Voice Choir, said “Sadly we still cannot get together and, for this ‘fellowship of men who love to sing’, that is painful. We are only too happy to try anything to help continue that fellowship – so are very pleased to be able to turn to technology for help” .
