Rushmoor Male Voice Choir will be performing their first major concert under the baton of new Musical Director, Sarit Aloni. Sarit is a highly qualified musician with a distinguished background from Israel, Italy, and Canada and who has now made the United Kingdom her home. She will be conducting the choir in performing their usual mix of tunes ranging from male voice classics to show tunes and popular songs. Guest performers, 4 in a Bar, is a saxophone quartet from North-East Hampshire, playing a mix of swing to contemporary, jazz to ballads and the occasional golden oldie.

But the concert isn’t just about the music. It’s also an opportunity to give back to the community by supporting The Hope Hub charity. This amazing organization provides vital support and resources to those in need, including food banks, mental health services, and assistance with housing and employment. Mags Mercer, CEO of the charity, said “The Hope Hub is thrilled to be supported by the Rushmoor Odd Fellows Male Voice Choir and we urge as many of you as are able to come for an enjoyable evening and repertoire of well-known songs.  Based in Camberley, we exist for the relief of poverty and specifically to support those who are homeless or at risk of becoming so. We run a wide range of day services and operate an emergency accommodation service too.  Events like this raise vital funds to support our work which is accessed around 9,000 times a year mainly by local people.”

Announcing the concert, Odd Fellows Chairman, Peter Viveash, said “We are delighted to support this wonderful charity and are really looking forward to our first major concert being led by Sarit. Get ready for an unforgettable evening of beautiful harmonies and soulful saxophones, all for a great cause!”
